Asymmetric Catalysis, New Methodology and Natural Product Synthesis
The main objective of our group is the development of new methodologies. A critical challenge for synthetic chemists is control of the regio-, diastereo-, and enantioselectivity of organic transformations. We try to develop diastereoselective and enantioselective reactions using organocatalysts and transition metal catalysts. In the organocatalysis we use predominantly chiral amine, bifunctional catalysts and chiral acid catalysts.

In the transition metal catalysis we focus on new catalytic reactions using mostly Ti , Pd and Cu metals.

In concern with the development of new methodologies, synthetic targets are chosen and the application of our methodologies are demonstrated by synthesizing architecturally complex natural products. Thus, we have access to important biologically active compounds through novel synthetic pathways in an efficient way.
